Resistere è il coronamento di un anno di presentazioni. Gli incontri con gli autori accompagnano l'attività della libreria da settembre fino a giugno e Resistere rappresenta il completamento di questo sforzo portato nei luoghi più belli della città.
Il libro è uno strumento insostituibile di crescita individuale e collettiva e rimane un mezzo modernissimo che parla a tutti con linguaggi che, nella loro varietà, combattono ogni semplificazione e impoverimento di pensiero.
Credere a questo suo ruolo significa ideare e sostenere ogni iniziativa che avvicini il libro ai lettori, anche a coloro che sono potenzialmente lettori. È il nostro lavoro di librai, cogliere occasioni per proporre stimoli, ricchezza di contributi e suggestioni.
Anche quest'anno abbiamo cercato di comporre un programma che ci racconti l'attualità, talvolta con leggerezza, e che ci aiuti comunque a capire la complessità del nostro mondo.
Non abbiamo solo valutato la notorietà dei nostri ospiti, ma la qualità della proposta, cercando anche la novità in discipline e competenze non abituali.
I libri ci spingono a spaziare e a oltrepassare i confini, sono lezioni di volo che ci insegnano a comprendere e a sognare.
Speriamo che questa edizione di Resistere mantenga le promesse e regali a tutti qualcosa di importante.
Resistere is the coronation of one year of presentations. The meetings with authors are part of the bookstore’s activities and take place from September until June. Resistere represents the completion of this effort,
setting these gatherings in the most beautiful locations in town.
Books are an irreplaceable tool for individual and collective growth and remain a modern means which speaks to each of us in languages that - through their variety - fight against any simplification or impoverishment of thought.
Believing in this role means devising and supporting every activity that brings books and readers closer together, potential as though they may be. It is our job as booksellers: seizing the chances to provide stimuli, valuable contributions, and suggestions.
This year, we have tried once more to put together a schedule capable of painting a picture of our world and of helping us understand its complexity, at times in lighthearted fashion.
We have not only weighed the notoriety of our guests, but the quality of the overall proposal, trying to find novelty in unusual disciplines and competences.
Books encourage us to go beyond borders. They are flight lessons that teach us how to understand and how to dream. We hope this edition of Resistere will fulfill these promises and bestow all of us with something truly important.
